With the expansion of domestic demand and the growth of exports, the continuous innovation of domestic host products, as well as the increasing requirements of foreign investors for the connotation and external quality of castings, it is required to use * * applicable processes and equipment to produce qualified castings, which has promoted the development of China's casting machinery industry. The variety and quantity of casting machinery products in China are constantly increasing, and the quality is constantly improving; The successful development and use of new equipment that meets the requirements of new production processes and quality, as well as energy conservation and environmental protection, have also promoted the development of casting production. During the period of the Eighth and Ninth Five Year Plans of the last century, bank loan projects and technical transformation support for enterprises producing fully automatic casting molding machines greatly promoted the improvement of product development and production abilities, and improved the quality and reliability of casting machinery products. At present, domestic casting equipment manufacturers can provide medium skill level equipment suitable for large and medium-sized factories, but high production rates, high-precision products, and most of them rely on imported or partially imported products from foreign manufacturers, and some are produced domestically.
1) In terms of smelting, in order to obtain high-temperature molten iron, on the one hand, cast coke is selected, and on the other hand, two rows of large spacing cupolas suitable for the quality of coke and furnace charge in China are developed and promoted for application. Domestic supply of water-cooled, cold air, and unlined long service cupola can be achieved, with two shifts per day and continuous operation for over a week. The cupola's air volume and pressure can be automatically adjusted, material level detection and feeding control can be achieved, temperature measurement of the tapping tank can be achieved, and the entire batching and feeding system can be automated.
2) In terms of styling, China closely follows the development of international styling skills and has conducted many basic research and process development experiments in the field of air impact molding. It can supply air impact lines with a sand mold area of 1.6 square meters, and has developed and produced more than 60 domestically produced air impact lines; Domestic production can produce vertical and horizontal parting unboxing molding lines, but there are not many types and specifications available, resulting in lower production power and poor reliability compared to foreign products. Since 2003, more than 20 domestically produced static pressure molding lines have been launched to the market. The domestically produced EJ036 piston ring molding machine has production rates, noise, energy consumption, and other targets that are close to foreign levels. On the basis of introducing foreign skills and equipment, China's resin sand equipment production plants are developing rapidly and can provide complete sets of sand equipment, sand mixing and unboxing molding line equipment, which can basically replace imports to meet the domestic market demand. The process and equipment of sodium silicate sand are also constantly innovating and improving.
3) In terms of sand treatment equipment, Chinese sand treatment equipment manufacturers can provide complete sets of equipment such as sand falling, magnetic separation, crushing and screening, old sand cooling, mixing, weighing and quantitative water addition of new and old sand and auxiliary materials, as well as complete sets of conveying equipment and sand treatment system electrical control in the sand treatment process. Compared with foreign products, there is a certain distance in terms of sand mixing power, cooling effect of old sand coolers, water temperature control, online testing of sand forming function, product quality, reliability, etc. However, domestic equipment is also constantly improving in this regard, especially after foreign companies establish factories or cooperate to produce products in China, which has improved the overall level of domestic sand treatment system equipment.
4) In terms of core making equipment, with the gradual processing of resin material production, supply, and price issues, most foundry factories that produce in bulk choose hot core, shell core, and cold core making processes. At present, China can provide various types of shell and core machines with good and relatively reliable vertical and horizontal typing functions; The hot core box core making equipment has little difference in function and structure compared to foreign equipment, but there is a significant difference in sandblasting skills; In terms of cold core making equipment, a few manufacturers' cold core making equipment has reached the intermediate level abroad. Most of the core making centers that produce engine cylinder block sand cores in large quantities in China have been introduced. Single manufacturers are on par with foreign manufacturers in terms of equipment planning and production concepts, but there is a significant gap in equipment structure and reliability.
5) In terms of organizing equipment, it is a significant aspect compared to foreign countries. Domestic sorting equipment manufacturers are committed to gradually shifting the sorting process from labor-intensive to skilled, and continuously improving the level of mechanization and automation, and directly matching it with automatic molding lines. If we can provide mechanical arms for picking up parts, shot blasting machines for engine cylinder (cylinder head) and box castings, grinding and finishing lines, small and medium-sized sand blasting and rolling machines, and track shot blasting and finishing machines, our skills and equipment will be developed in the direction of low pollution and complete supply. However, compared with foreign countries, there is a significant distance in planning and production concepts, product quality, and reliability.
6) In terms of special casting equipment, China can produce a series of cold, hot, vertical, and horizontal die-casting machines. However, compared with foreign equipment, there is a gap in the clamping force, production rate, process parameter adjustment and monitoring, automation, and reliability of die-casting machines. The series of low-pressure casting machines produced domestically need to be improved in terms of automatic control skills for metal liquid pressure and the lifespan of infusion pipes. The production of large tonnage, automated die-casting units for engine cylinder bodies, low-pressure casting machines for mass production, and large-diameter centrifugal casting equipment still rely on imports. Capable of supplying all domestically produced lost foam production lines, or automated lost foam molding lines that are self planned and manufactured according to imported key equipment and other domestic supporting equipment. The core vibrating table and fully automatic mold making machine of the lost foam molding line need to be imported. The domestic supply of simple V-method production lines and the automated V-method lines for producing disorderly castings also rely on imports.
